Understanding the History of the Messiah
Many people in the world misunderstand who Jesus Christ is. They are even more confused about His arrival and where He came from. They fail to understand the simple words that describe who Jesus Christ is. Our hope is that as you examine these Scripture passages that you will begin to understand that Jesus Christ existed before the world was created.
You will learn the following:
- He is the Image of God.
- By Jesus Christ all things were created.
- All things were created for Him.
- Jesus Christ is the Head of the Church.
Our only aim is to help you better understand Jehovah (God), Jesus Christ (The Son), and the Spirit. Please do not hesitate to contact us with questions.
Heir of All Things
Take a moment to read Hebrews 1:1-4. Now, answer the following questions:
- What is a heir?
- What was made through the Son?
- How does the Son uphold all things?
- Where is Jesus Christ right now?
This Scripture passage describes the Son of God in detail. The fact that in these last days God spoke (speaks) to us through the Son. In addition, the statement “through whom also He made the worlds” was used. This means that all things were made through the Son of God. Through Jesus Christ.
Before All Things
This passage in Colossians further demonstrates that Jesus Christ is more than a man that was born in the first century. He is in fact part of the Godhead. God made the world through Jesus Christ.
13 He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love, 14 in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins.
15 He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. 16 For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him. 17 And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist. 18 And He is the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things He may have the preeminence. Colossians 1:13-18
- All things were created through whom?
- Is Jesus Christ “Before” all things?
He Chose Us
God chose that Christians would be “blessed with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ” This is a profound statement. This should fill you with joy if you are indeed in the Body of Christ.
3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, 4 just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love, 5 having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will, 6 to the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He [a]made us accepted in the Beloved. – Ephesians 1:3-6
- What was decided before the foundation of the world?

That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, concerning the Word of life— 2 the life was manifested, and we have seen, and bear witness, and declare to you that eternal life which was with the Father and was manifested to us— 3 that which we have seen and heard we declare to you, that you also may have fellowship with us; and truly our fellowship is with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ. – 1 John 1:1-3
