There is a minimum of 3 billion people that consider Jesus Christ their Lord. Many in the United States call Jesus Christ their Lord. But do they do what He says? Do we strive to do what He says each day?
- According to Pew Research 63% of American consider themselves Christians.
- According to Gallup 30% of Americans attend church regularly.
With the United States having a population of 342 million, you would have 63% considered Christian – about 215 million. Less than half of these attend church regularly.
I am not saying that going to church makes someone a Christian. Just pointing out that there is a major disconnect between the concept of being a Christian and attending church.
Christians should absolutely be resolute and devoted with meeting together with the church. The Church of Jesus Christ. Not a building, but a gathering of faithful disciples. But the most critical area is to “obey.” Obey Jesus Christ’s teachings, sayings, and words.
