Having Saving Faith for Life

Having saving faith for life is the only way to guarantee your name being in the Book of Life. God makes it completely clear that you must obey His holy word. So many people that profess to be believers in Jesus Christ do not hold to His word. Christ is the Word. He is the bread of life. Without this Bread you will die.

Remaining Faithful to God and His Church

Disciples of Jesus Christ are called to be sanctified. Redeemed from a life of sin. There is really no excuse to continue to sin. If you have come to faith in Jesus Christ, repented of sins, confessed His name before witnesses, and been baptized for remission of sins — You have the Power to overcome sin. Walk in the Spirit.

The Goal: Ephesians 5:22-33

“22 Wives, submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord. 23 For the husband is head of the wife, as also Christ is head of the church; and He is the Savior of the body. 24 Therefore, just as the church is subject to Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in everything.

25 Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her, 26 that He might sanctify and cleanse her with the washing of water by the word, 27 that He might present her to Himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy and without blemish. 28 So husbands ought to love their own wives as their own bodies; he who loves his wife loves himself. 29 For no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as the Lord does the church. 30 For we are members of His body, of His flesh and of His bones. 31 “For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh.” 32 This is a great mystery, but I speak concerning Christ and the church. 33 Nevertheless let each one of you in particular so love his own wife as himself, and let the wife see that she respects her husband.”

There is no getting around that fact that God is sending Jesus Christ back for those that are sanctified and cleansed by the word.

Advice: read the word, pray for understand, and obey the word.

The Warning to Hebrew Disciples

God lays out a series of warnings in the Book of Hebrews. The book was written to Hebrew disciples of Jesus Christ. Jews that converted to Christianity. The book was not focused on non-believers. Therefore, the warnings reveal that all disciples of Jesus Christ must remain fulfill for life. Having saving faith for life is required.

Two chapters in Hebrews are important to take time to read. Hebrews chapter six and Hebrews chapter ten. These two chapters are important to take time to study.

Hebrews 6:1-10

“Therefore, leaving the discussion of the elementary principles of Christ, let us go on to perfection, not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works and of faith toward God, of the doctrine of baptisms, of laying on of hands, of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment. And this we will do if God permits.

For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted the heavenly gift, and have become partakers of the Holy Spirit, and have tasted the good word of God and the powers of the age to come, if they fall away, to renew them again to repentance, since they crucify again for themselves the Son of God, and put Him to an open shame.

For the earth which drinks in the rain that often comes upon it, and bears herbs useful for those by whom it is cultivated, receives blessing from God; but if it bears thorns and briers, it is rejected and near to being cursed, whose end is to be burned.”

Hebrews 10:19-27

“19 Therefore, brethren, having boldness to enter the Holiest by the blood of Jesus, 20 by a new and living way which He consecrated for us, through the veil, that is, His flesh, 21 and having a High Priest over the house of God, 22 let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water23 Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful. 24 And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, 25 not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.

26 For if we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, 27 but a certain fearful expectation of judgment, and fiery indignation which will devour the adversaries.”
